Presentation of WormsHL

    WormsHL is a worms multiplayer total conversion of Half-Life based on the Worms' universe.

    In this french mod, you are a worm red or blue (there are two teams). It is a team game without an individual score. You play with a turn system : each team plays during one turn, so when you play, the other team can't move or fight !

    Other elements from the Worms' universe :
        - Breakable things (boxes, bridges, ...)
        - When you let the fire button enclenched, the power of the fire increase

        - The worms die when they fall in the water

        - The worms' death takes place to a explosion and a tomb
        - Weapons bonus, health bonus, ...
        - There is a fun ambiance
        - And more and more of course...


Join Game

Install WormsHL
- install Half-Life (with its last update for servers compatibility)
- use WormHL installer, choose the Half-Life directory
Run WormsHL
- open Half-Life
- menu "custom game"
- choose WormsHL
- "activate"
- "done"
or dekstop-link (command line = "HL_directory/hl.exe -game wormshl")
or keyboard-link : Ctrl+Maj+W

Aim of the game

    There are different aims of the game for each maps. We see the map type with its prefix. In all cases, the game use the turn system, or not (the turn system is the biggest interest of WormsHL so use it) and you respawn immediatly after the death to play all along of the game !

            Grave

    When they die, the worms explode and leave room to a grave of the same colour of their team. It's very important to get back the graves, because taking them give one point

            Banana-trees

    They grow-up on the maps, and you have to take care, you already know their bananas, a little hot, isn't it ?!! Each time a Banana-tree is touched by an blast, they take a revenge buy sending a banana in the air : be carefull when it falls down. !

Particularities

            Wind

    Yes ! There's wind in WormsHL ! Wind affects most of the weapons (bazooka, grenades). You have to aim in consequence. To know where the wind is going, your dear Worm got a Radar on its HUD: (Note that wind always get up, but never down)

            On the move

    The worms wich are crawling, are going slowy, in comparaison with Mr Freeman in half-life. What's new is in jumping : there's high-jumping and long jumping (distinguished Keys) But in order not to take advantage of jumping, to go faster if you jump 3 times too quicly, the third leap is impossible (Indicater down on the right) ;) !




            Indicaters

    You can notice (if you want) above the players there are indicaters :
- Their colour (Red/blue) show the worm's team.
- Their size : the taller is the pyramid the more the worm has health point (HP)
- Several ways of view are available :
                  - Other players : nothing/transparent pyramid/text mode (name + HP)
                  - yourself : nothing / same thing as the other players.

    This option are customizable in the menu "play at wormsHL", "Personnalize", then "Advanced option"

Oh ! I forgot, some spécial letters in the falls-name shows strange things, like smileys and other debilities (In text mode)



            Bilbocket

    If you place an explosive-charge near a worm, his body will make 10 towers whithout touching the ground, and if you place a bilbocket in the face (personnal happyness who glorify his autors, and nerves the destynatary). There's 2 types of bilbocket, depending of they powers : the classical and the giant. They indication is being indicate in the HUD beyond a symbol, indicating the maker and the destinatary :

            Radar

    The little worms have in their pocket a sympathic radar who allow them to avoid all (friends, enemys, mines,...) on a short distance in real time. To see the radar, press "R" (Défault).




            Profile-file

    It allow's to save the important information in a worm's life, in order to award a level-ranking in percentage, accompany of 1 to 6 stars. Warning, the profil is saved only if there is 1 human player (no bot) in each team.
    The profil has the fonction to compare players. So, in the table of scores, for each worm, the rank is being affiched. Each worm can see more specifiquely his profile like an identity card, with each categorys very good detailled, to know where to progress. To shown on the profil, press "P" (Défault bind)  


Here's what will be shown when you will be a BOSS !

 

            Sudden death

    When the timeleft to play on the map is on the end (It depend of the server's option), all Worms get 1 point of life ! On some adapted maps, water-level grow up ! Think about the waterproof clothes !

Commands
